Great Kids with Grandma Great

Payton's Birthday

We all went to Marysville for Payton's 2nd Birthday.

My parents got her a new wagon & a fantastic new Jungle Gym for the backyard.

We took turns pushing the kids on the swings but a couple of times when I was sitting & no one was pushing her Payton would squeal "Lisa!"

Since she was calling me Lisa, Jett started calling me Lisa. I told them that's "Aunt Lisa" to you & that's "Mommy" to you. But quite honestly that girl could get me to do anything she wants just by saying my name ~ she melts my heart so push her I did.

Easter with Grandma Great

My Grandma visited from Kansas for two weeks in March. It was absolutely wonderful to have her here with us & we can't wait for her to come back.

Easter was so much fun this year with Jett & Payton ~ they both understood the hunting for Easter Eggs. They just keep becoming more & more fun!

Big Wheels, Trikes & Kayaks

We always manage to have so much fun on our driveway.

Jett has taken to cruising down the steep driveway on all his modes of transport: Big Wheels, Cars Trike & yesterday on his Tonka Bike with training wheels.

My mom & I were able to catch him at the curb or else we would have had a pretty serious tumble on his big boy bike. Luckily my little dare devil finally got a new helmet & was wearing it ~ thanks to Grandma Towns.

A Tale of Two Bunnies

As I've written many times, we are so lucky to live next to a nature preserve & in a truly beautiful area.

Monday evening we took our usual walk & our dog, Bogey, chased a rabbit. Thankfully, he did not catch the bunny, because that would have seriously traumatized both me & Jett. It was very exciting to watch, though, only because the rabbit got away.

When we got home, Mike started to do some work in the front yard while Jett was playing & suddenly he told me to put the dog inside & to come back out.

I can't believe Mike saw him because he was really hard to see (even after he was pointed out to me) but we have a juvenile bunny living in a bush in our front yard. He's gone in the evening but he stays there all day. Jett & I have left lettuce & celery for him but have otherwise left him alone.

It's pretty amazing to see him each day. I'll be so sad when he's no longer there. I seriously want to snatch him & keep him but I don't think Jack Rabbits make good pets.

Update: This morning he was gone.

Jett & Aaron

On Friday Katie, Aaron & baby Leigha came over to play.

Jett & Aaron are less than one month a part & we call them "BFF's" ~ Best Friends Forever.

Reading with Grandpa

Out & About

Whenever the weather allows, we try to play outside & take walks near our neighborhood.

We're so lucky to live next to a nature preserve & on a cul de sac where Jett can practice riding his new tonka bike with training wheels.

Shasta Dam

We took Jett up to Shasta Dam on Sunday & could not believe all the snow!

We had lots of fun but still managed to get home in time to see the last quarter of the Super Bowl.
