Mike had a seminar in Monterey for a few days & Jett & I tagged along. It was a lot of fun & for just two full days of sight-seeing, Jett & I squeezed a lot in!
We stayed at the Embassy Suites which is fantastic for families. We got up the first morning & Jett & I took the airport shuttle to the Aquarium which was amazing. The Jelly Fish & Seahorses were the BEST! Jett loved the tidal wave that came in & over a clear room & spent at least a half an hour just watching that.
We went back to the hotel & then drove ourselves to Dennis the Menace Park. Unbelievable park! When Mike was done working I drove us all to Santa Cruz & we went to the Beach Boardwalk. The Boardwalk was ok but Jett loved the beach & had never really played in the waves before. He loved it!
On the way home the next day we went through San Francisco & stopped at the Exploratorium. My Mom & I took Jett last summer & I'm going to try to take him each summer to see how much more he gets out of it as he grows older.
Finally we went through Sacramento & while Mike had a meeting Jett & I went to Michelle & Colby's house for a fun visit. Then on the way home we stopped & had dinner at Granzella's.
I'm not sure who liked what more: Me or Jett @ the Aquarium. Mike or Jett @ the Exploratorium.
It was a quick, fun, amazing trip. We're lucky to live so close to so many wonderful places to visit!
