Robyn & The Boys

Finally we have some pictures of Jett & Nathan & Andrew ~ or "Robyn & The Boys" as Jett calls them.

We feel so fortunate to have the Seamans family living in Redding & having our boys so close in age. We try to get together as often as possible & the boys really enjoy each other.

Today they were very mellow but usually they're incredibly noisy. It's a good thing that Robyn & I are so naturally loud when we're together because that way we're still able to hear ourselves over everything else.

It's also really nice to have another mom to get ideas from. For instance, today Robyn put broccoli in the mac-n-cheese & although Jett didn't like it, from now on he's getting his pasta with peas.

A Break in the Rain

Yesterday we took advantage of the clear weather & Jett played in our backyard for a couple of hours. We only had to change his clothes once before he learned not to jump in the puddles when it's 50 degrees outside.

Snow Play

Today my Mom, Dad, Mike & I took Jett up above Shingletown to play in the snow. I'm so often thankful that we live in such a beautiful place.

Jett absolutely loved the snow. He did not want to leave but was soaked after almost an hour. Before we take him again we need to get him some waterproof gear so we can stay longer.

Christmas

We had the most wonderful Christmas! We spent Christmas Eve with my parents & brother & Christmas Day with Mike's whole family. My Mom, Dad & brother all came out to Mike's parents house for a couple of hours & it was fantastic.

Here's Jett & Chloe on Grandaddy's tractor, the tree with all the gifts Santa delivered, Bogey with his new toy from Santa & Jett with a Tonka from us.

Jett & the Christmas Tree

Audree's House

The last week we've been spending time at Mike's niece Audree's house to help out with the kids while she's recuperating.

Here's Jett with his cousins Chloe & Baby Nicolaus.

The Great Outdoors

Here are Jett & Daddy at Dog Creek & our neighborhood playground. No kid, or Dad for that matter, loves being outside as much as my boys.

We take Jett to Dog Creek & he throws rocks into the water for as long as we'll let him. This last time the only way we got him to leave of his own accord & not on Daddy's shoulders is that we told him we were going to Grandpa's for dinner.

That worked so well that it will definitely be tempting to use even when it's not true, but of course we won't.

More Kansas Photos

I can't even express how much I love & miss our family back in Kansas.

It makes me almost cry to see Jett & Payton surrounded by all their cousins & great aunts & uncles & especially Grandma Great. I know the kids love & miss everyone, too.

My Grandmother's Milk Glass

My Grandmother gave me some beautiful Milk Glass vases which I have prominently displayed in my family room's built-in.

We cannot wait for her to visit from Kansas so she can see it for herself.

We love you Grandma Great.

Around the House

Here are a few new photos of Jett at a neighborhood park, by our Christmas tree & on the couch.

And yes, I know those look like girl's pajamas. The blue doggy pj's on Land's End's website looked like they were for boys. They're warm, they fit & it would be really hard to make Jett look like a girl.
